Scott grew up in Utah and became a Christian at age 19 while in the Navy. After completing his military enlistment, he pursued academia. He counseled and served in various ministry positions while achieving several undergraduate and postgraduate degrees — including master’s degrees in both theology and psychology, as well as PsyD (ABD). Scott formed his non-profit Biblical Christian Counseling organization several years ago and works full time counseling out of two offices. He serves as Staff Counselor for a large church in Orange County and occasionally teaches post graduate classes in a local university. Scott’s distinct style of Biblical Christian counseling blends the best of Psychology with the truth and grace of Scripture. Scott attributes his unusually high success rate helping marriages and individuals heal and reconcile, to the practical Biblically-derived relationship tools, which he says both equip his clients and re-frame their thinking to align with God’s thinking about self, others and circumstances.
